Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
At LetterScript LLC, we believe in keeping your data secure and your browsing experience private. This Cookie Policy explains how and why we use cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our application.
2. How We Use Cookies
We operate on a principle of data minimization. We use only strictly necessary cookies. We do not run advertising, cross-site tracking, or web-analytics cookies that profile your behavior across the web.
A few third-party services we rely on for security and legal compliance may set their own cookies when you use the relevant pages — Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on our sign-in page) and Termly(which renders our legal policies). These are limited to operating those features; we don't use them to track or advertise to you.
The only cookie currently utilized by our LetterScript application is a secure, HttpOnly authentication cookie. This cookie is essential for securely managing your login session (specifically, managing your refresh token). Without this cookie, you would be unable to log in and securely access your workspace.
We do use privacy-first product analytics (PostHog) to understand and fix problems in the app. It is configured to store its data in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies, it never receives your document contents, and any session recordings mask all text and input values. Because it sets no cookies, it does not affect the cookie choices described here.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary for the core functionality of the LetterScript platform (authenticating your session), we do not require your prior consent to place them on your device. These cookies cannot be disabled within our systems without breaking the application's ability to keep you securely logged in.
4. Managing Your Cookies
If you wish to remove or reject our authentication cookie, you can do so by adjusting your browser settings. However, please be aware that doing so will immediately log you out of your account and prevent you from accessing the LetterScript application.
5. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we add new features or integrate new services. If we ever decide to introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics or performance cookies), we will update this page and implement a consent mechanism to ask for your permission before placing them on your device.
